About the Faculty

    Christopher Dagg (Speaker)

    Chris (he/him) has been with LSNYC since 2003, first with Legal Services for the Elderly, and now with the Workers' Rights and Benefits Unit at Brooklyn Legal Services. In the past, he has worked on Medicaid eligibility cases and appeals of denials of SSI/SSD benefits. Currently, he primarily works on pensions, with a special emphasis on issues relating to surviving spouses and former spouses of retirees. In that role, he frequently consults with matrimonial attorneys on pension matters that arise in divorce cases, and prepares Qualified Domestic Relations Orders to divide retirement benefits.

    Debra Sambataro (Speaker)

    Debra (She/Her), is a Senior Staff Attorney with the Family Law Unit at Manhattan Legal Services. She obtained her Italian law degree in 1993 from Universita’ di Firenze and an LL.M in Comparative Law from the Dickinson School of Law in 1995. Debra has been working at LSNYC representing clients in contested divorce actions since 1998 and has extensive experience in matrimonial litigation.
