Adjustment of Status: Lawful Permanent Residence for U Nonimmigrant

This program will provide participants with basic information on U Visas and familiarize them with the adjustment of status for U nonimmigrants. Participants will learn about the requirements to adjust status and how to prepare a successful application. The session will also provide participants with tips on working with interpreters and working with survivors of domestic violence.

    Stephanie Taylor (Speaker)

    Stephanie Taylor is the Director of Brooklyn Legal Services' Immigrants' Rights & Advocacy Project at Brooklyn Legal Services and has been practicing immigration law since 2004. Prior to her current position, Stephanie was the Director of the Immigration Advocacy Project at Queens Legal Services. While at QLS, Stephanie practiced both immigration law and family law. She graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 2006 and lives in Brooklyn.
