Healthy Housing 2018

This training will review new tools to address unhealthy housing conditions: the Asthma Free Homes Act and disability claims. It will cover changes to the law to strengthen enforcement of mold and pest violations, as well as ways to incorporate disability rights law into your practice on behalf of tenants with chronic respiratory conditions like asthma or other illnesses.

    Maureen Belluscio (Speaker)

    Maureen Belluscio is a Senior Staff Attorney in the Disability Justice Program. Her work focuses on housing rights and access to public and government services, for people with disabilities. Prior to joining NYLPI, Maureen was a Staff Attorney with several legal services organizations where she represented survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in family court and other civil actions. Maureen holds a B.A. from New York University, and received her J.D. from the Villanova University School of Law.
